Robert Harold Baldridge, 80, of Lapeer for 50 years, died Thursday September 5, 2019 surrounded by family. He was born May 5, 1939 in Detroit, to Guy and Bernice (Kegler) Baldridge. Mr. Baldridge married Karen Brousseau on November 4, 1961 in Roseville, Michigan. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1962- 1964. Mr. Baldridge worked 20 years, in maintenance for Lapeer County Mental Health. He was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapeer. Bob enjoyed NASCAR, Detroit Tiger Baseball and time spent with family. Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years: Karen Baldridge, children: Mark (Jody) Baldridge, Dennis (Chris) Baldridge and Kimberly (Norm) Piotrowski, grandchildren: Alexandria, Danielle (& Mounir), Colton, McKenzie and Mark, Jr., siblings: Violet Watson and Jerry Baldridge. He was preceded in death by brother: Ken Baldridge and parents: Bernice and Guy Baldridge. Visitation will be 4-8PM Monday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Bob’s funeral service will be 2:00PM Tuesday September 10, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lapeer, Pastor Grant Lobb will officiate. A military salute will conclude the church service, under the auspices of the American Legion Post #16 Honor Guard. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, at a later date.
