Ricky’s Obituary Oakdale-Funeral Services for Ricky Lynn Carriker, 52, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Grace Church in Glenmora. Rev. Charles Seal will officiate. Burial will follow at Butters Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes. The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning at Grace Church from 9 a.m. until time of service. Ricky was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother. He was a very hard worker whom loved his family and grandchildren dearly. He had a giving heart and would give the shirt off his back. He loved to help the elderly anyway he could. Ricky loved fishing, keeping his house clean, cooking and doing carpentry work. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish Ricky’s memory include his mother, Dot Carriker; one son, Ricky Carriker, Jr. (Alex); three brothers, Greg Carriker (Shera) of Tomball, TX, Carl Michael Carriker of Glenmora, and Thomas Carriker (Stacey) of Forest Hill; two grandchildren, Gracelyn Carriker and Harlow Wiggins, both of Glenmora; as well as, a host of nieces and nephews. Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Carl Thomas Carriker. Pallbearers honored to serve are: Mickey Dauzat, Ricky Dauzat, Troy Russell, William McCreery, Ricky Bordelon, Charles Sweat, Brian Laird and Ray Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in Ricky’s memory. Read More
