Raymond’s Obituary Raymond L. Wichterich Sr., 89, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019, in Slidell. Mr. Wichterich was a native of New Orleans, a U.S. Navy veteran, a longtime resident of Slidell, and a master carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Wichterich; son, Raymond L. Wichterich Jr.; brother, John Phillip Wichterich Jr.; sisters, Judy Fust, Cheryl Jennings; and a son-in-law, Michael Gyzinski. Raymond is survived by two children, Debbie Levy (David), Pam Gyzinski; three grandchildren, Corie Epperson (John), David Levy Jr.(Bethany), Kaylea Bakay (Ryan); six great-grandchildren, Caitlin Epperson, Ashlyn Epperson, Caleb Levy, Layla Backay, Caden Levy, Ryan Bakay Jr.; brother, Ronald Wichterich; two sisters, Joanlyn Otto, Carol Barrios; numerous nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell LA, on Friday, September 27, 2019, at 12:00 noon. Friends may visit at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00am. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Read More
