Phyllis A. Huizinga Of Arlington Heights Phyllis A. Huizinga was born on January 26, 1940 in Chicago to David and Mildred (nee Corrodo) Guarino. She died Sunday, September 15, 2019 in Arlington Heights. Mrs. Huizinga worked in management for Zenith Corporation in Franklin Park. She was a member of St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Phyllis was an avid golfer and loved her Chicago Cubs. She spent her winters in Longboat Key, Florida. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was loved by all. Phyllis is survived by her children, Cheryl (Bill) Ryan and Daniel M. (Sue) Huizinga; grandchildren, Bill Ryan, Kate Ryan, Dan Huizinga and Colleen Huizinga; brother-in-laws, Russell Sabatino and Richard Dziadosz; beloved cousin, Joanne Corrodo; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; her parents; siblings, Frank (Carol) Guarino, Rosemary Sabatino, Donna Dziadosz and David Guarino. Visitation Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Service 10:00 am, Monday, September 23, 2019 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL. Interment at St. Michael Cemetery in Palatine.
