Phillip’s Obituary Phillip Alan “Al” Campbell, 61, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019. He was born October 13, 1957 in Cleveland to Edsel Campbell and Elizabeth Garner (nee Patterson). Al was a graduate of Brunswick High School in 1976. He then moved to the Ft. Lauderdale area and returned to Ohio in 1990. Al was blessed with a natural God given talent for mechanics. While in Florida, he worked for companies in the space program. After returning to Cleveland, he worked for NASA and then for Marine Mechanical/Babcock Wilcox who made parts for nuclear submarines. Al is survived by his mother Elizabeth Garner, sisters Margaret Crum(Richard) of FL and Carol Lanese of N. Ridgeville, OH, nephews Michael and Chad Esber, and niece Amber Bussman. He is preceded in death by his father Edsel, grandparents William and Lester Patterson, and nephew Todd Esber. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Waite and Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, OH 44212, and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick.
