Pearl Denney Johnson, age 88, of Gainesville, GA passed away Monday, September 16, 2019. Pearl was born in Ball Ground, Georgia and has lived in Gainesville for 40 years. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Johnson II, and daughter Brenda C. Newhart. She is survived by her children, daughters Diane Thacker of Dahlonega, Ga., Karen S. Baggett of Gillsville, Ga., Deborah Childers of Gainesville, Ga., sons Stan Johnson of Sanford, NC., and Charles E. Johnson III of Cornelia, Ga., sisters Eldie Cornett of Ball Ground, Ga., Virginia Mayfield of Ball Ground, Ga., brothers Ridge Denney of Ball Ground, Ga., and Doug Denney of Talladega Al., 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. A memorial service for Pearl is scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, September 20, at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home, 1190 McEver Rd., Gainesville GA 30504.
