Paul Junior Bean, age 79, of Providence, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Bean was born on September 20, 1939 in Danville, VA, a son of the late Wesley John Bean and Thelma Emerson Bean. He lived most of his life in Providence and Danville where he was employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for twenty five years. Mr. Bean was married to Susan Sevigny Bean who survives and was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a special nephew, Steven Wray; special niece, Sandra Wray Barker; great nephews, Jaxon Wray and Matthew Barker; great nieces, Makena Wray and Halee Barker; brother, Clyde Eugene Bean and a special sister-in-law, Barbara Wray. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine Cook Bean and brothers, Bruce Wayne Bean and Bill Bean. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Riverview Baptist Church with Reverend Daniel Custer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Swicegood Funeral Service is respectfully serving the Bean family.
