Paul’s Obituary Paul Carl Bogenschutz, 59, of Mankato, died Saturday, September 21, 2019 at his home in Mankato. Paul was born March 16, 1960 in Austin, MN to Carlyle and Helen (Kraft) Bogenschutz. He graduated from Mankato East High School in 1978 and earned a degree in Political Science from Mankato State University. He was introduced to Suzzette Thomas in 1975, and they began a relationship in 1981. In 1984, Paul began working for the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Department. He retired in 2016 as a jail administrator. Paul enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, driving with Sue on Sunday mornings and feeding the bison, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. One of his favorite places to be was in Duluth with his wife and family. Paul is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Shaun of Mankato, Christine (Greg) Schuba of North Mankato, and Joshua (Ashley) of Mankato; and grandchildren, Chassidy, Amber, Rachel, Hunter, Xander, and Gracie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Ruth Bogenschutz. Private family services will be held at a later date. Read More
