Patricia’s Obituary Patricia Ann Black Durham, 76, of Reading, PA, passed on Saturday, September 28, 2019. Born February 16, 1943, in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mattie R. Flowers Black and Adoph P. Black Sr. She attended school in the Reading Area School District graduating with the class of 1961. For five years, she was employed by the city of Reading as a meter maid. She also worked as a sewing machine operator and later she worked at Wilson Safety Products for approximately three years. Additionally, she operated an in-home daycare center. During her younger years, she attended St. James COGIC. Later, she joined with New Hope Baptist Church of Reading. She was a former member of Mary Alice Temple #108. She loved visiting the casinos, traveling, and all types of music. She loved giving, especially at Christmas time. In addition to her husband, Larry L. Durham, she is survived by her children, Orlando Taylor, Ph.D. of Collegeville, PA, Camille R. Taylor-Jones of Laureldale, PA; one stepson, Devin Walker of Philadelphia, PA; two stepdaughters, Sacha Durham of Philadelphia, PA and Nicole Harris of Shillington, PA; eleven grandchildren; siblings, Carrie Cannon of Reading, PA, Adoph Black Jr. of Sinking Springs, PA, Adopia Talley of Blandon, PA, Roberta Kauffman of Exeter, PA, Henry Black of Shillington, PA, Terri Elliott of Reading, PA and Benita Bates of Sinking Springs, PA, and a host of relatives and friends.
