Norman W. Bragg, 67, of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life Monday, September 16, 2019 at his home. Mr. Bragg was born September 19, 1951, in Columbus, Indiana, the youngest child of the late Ben Chester and Clara Mae Ford Bragg. On June 4, 2011, Norman married Theresa A. Irvine; she preceded him in death June 22, 2015. Mr. Bragg was a United States Army veteran serving active duty from March 14, 1973 to December 23, 1974 and rising to the rank of Specialist 4. Mr. Bragg was a former employee of Cummins Engine Company and he was a sports enthusiast. Mr. Bragg enjoyed membership at Columbus Moose Lodge No. 398, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 1987, Columbus and American Legion Post 233, Edinburgh. Mr. Bragg is survived by his brother, Robert E. (Hazel) Bragg of Columbus; sister, Edna Mae Maines of Columbus; nieces, April Bragg of Columbus and Sharon L. Smith of Columbus; and nephews, George E. (Charlene) Bragg of Columbus, Farris A. (Ava) Bragg of Columbus and Eugene Maines Jr. of Seymour. Mr. Bragg was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Clara Mae Bragg and his wife, Theresa Bragg. A memorial service will be announced by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Military honors will be presented by the Edinburgh American Legion Honor Guard. Mr. Bragg was laid to rest next to his wife at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana Friday, September 20, 2019.
