Miss Carolyn Louise Daye January 29, 1957 – September 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation BURLINGTON-Miss Carolyn Louise Daye, 62, of 1987 Hilton Road, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Alamance Health Care Center. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Mr. Charlie Lee Daye and Mrs. Mary Louise Haith Daye, both deceased. Carolyn was also preceded in death by three brothers, Willie Gene “Baby” Daye, Donnie Daye and Eugene Daye; a sister, Shelia Rena Daye; maternal grandparents, Ernest, and Sara Jane Haith; paternal grandparents, Jessie, and Maggie Daye; and a sister-in-law, Cynthia Daye. Her survivors include two sisters, Emma Thompson (Russell) of Burlington and Mary Ann Daye of Graham; two brothers, Johnny Daye and Charles Daye (Kay), both of Graham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Carolyn’s homegoing celebration will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Patillo Congregational Christine Church with Pastor McArthur Pettiford officiating and Rev. Walter James performing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral service at the church, and all other times at the home of her niece, Michelle Thompson, 2156 Pleasant Woods, Burlington. A public viewing for Carolyn will be held on Monday from 1:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Alamance Funeral Service has the honor of serving the Daye Family.
