Michael Lee Chaddick, 48, a lifelong resident of Lake Charles passed from this life on September 28, 2019 surrounded by his family. Michael was an amazing husband, father, brother, son, and grandfather. He was totally and completely devoted to his family. He served as Calcasieu Parish Deputy Clerk of Court for 21 years and Books-A- Million for over 4 years and possessed an amazing work ethic. He will be fondly remembered for his outgoing nature and willingness to help anyone he met. When not working, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and fishing. Michael was a movie aficionado and was the proud owner of over 4,000 dvds and vhs cassette tapes in their original packaging and had an uncanny ability to quote from said movies. Michael is preceded in death by nephew, Kade Suire. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Monica LaCasse Chaddick; children, Dillon Ross Chaddick, Casey Faye Butterfield, Shelby Paige Chaddick, and Cody Gage Chaddick; parents, Rick and Theresa Chaddick, brother, Todd Chaddick and fiancé Jennifer Benoit; grandchildren: Sarah Butterfield, D.J. Butterfield, Carson Fontenot, and C.J. Neville; two nieces, Kristin Chaddick Suire and Alissa Benoit; nephews, Ryan Chaddick and fiancé Samantha Demoruelle and Devin Benoit and wife Courtney; mother-in-law, Ethel LaCasse; brothers-in-law, Brian Farris and wife Lucy and Carl Farris and wife Belinda; sister-in-law, Ruth Reeves and husband Tommy, and their children; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family at the Calcasieu Parish Clerk of Court. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Saint Margaret’s Catholic Church. Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau is to officiate.
