Mearl Leon Malone March 19, 1945 – September 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Mearl Leon Malone, 74, of Rush Springs, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, in Duncan. The son of Murrel Calvin Malone and Katie Beatrice (Clement) Malone, he was born March 19, 1945 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Mearl grew up and attended school in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was a carpenter by trade, building many houses in Oklahoma. Mearl was an active member of the Oklahoma National Guard 45th Field Artillery C Battery, retiring after 25 years of service. Mearl was a very family-oriented man. He loved his children, grandchildren, and siblings. Anytime he could be fishing it was a good time. He was a very loving and compassionate person that would do anything he could to help someone. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mamie Malone; and two brothers, Sammy and Daniel Malone. He is survived by two sons, Murrel Leon Malone, Jr. and his wife, Robin, and William Lee Malone; three daughters, Christina Goodyear, Katie Malone, and Miracle Cauthen and her husband, Michael; six grandchildren, April Rowell and her husband, Justin, Brandon Malone and his wife, Mattie, Mychale Malone, William Malone, Jr., Josiah Goodyear, and Lily Goodyear; four sisters, Betty Christian, Jean Ross, Evelyn Bridges and Shorty, and Karen Arters and her husband, Danny; three brothers, John Malone and his wife, Regina, David Malone and his wife, Lois, and Bobby Malone; numerous nephews and nieces; many other loved ones and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, September 16, 2019 at the First Assembly of God in Rush Springs. Burial will follow in the Rush Springs Cemetery in Rush Springs.
