Alves, Maurice of Boston, Massachusetts passed on September 13, 2019. Son to the late Fidell Alves of Cabo Verde and Mammie Taylor of Virginia. He leaves his beloved wife Mabel Alves. Patriarch of the family he also leaves his legacy, his children Maurice F Alves Jr, Robert C Eddins Alves (wife Lucy), Denise G. Alves, Dorothea A, White (husband George), Sandra Alves Gikunoo (husband Daniel) and Fidell F. Alves (wife Janine). He was blessed to have twenty six grand children. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to cherish his memories. He was predeceased by his daughter Andrea L. Thomas and son Bruce A. Alves. Visitation with family on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9-11 AM at St. Augustine Church, 29-33 Lenox Street, Boston, MA 02118 Celebration of Life Service will start at 11 AM also from the church. Interment will follow to Oak Lawn Cemetery, 427 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA.
