Mary Lee (Brown) Logan April 03, 1929 – September 27, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Mary Lee (Brown) Logan, 90, of McAlester, died Friday, September 27, 2019 at McAlester Regional Health Center. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Ulan Cemetery. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Sean Ools, Michael Ools, Benjamin Ools, Jonathon Ools, Steven Ools, and Noah Ools. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Ross, Emily Ross, Scott Baker, John Logan, K.O. Ools, and Richard Braley. Mary was born on April 3, 1929 to Elmer J. and Clara Irene (Kerns) Brown in Ulan. She married Leonard Eliga Logan on September 11, 1946 in McAlester. Mary was a homemaker and cared for her family and friends dearly. She enjoyed many things. Some of her favorite hobbies included gardening, quilting, arts and crafts, and assisting her husband in his woodworking by painting. Mary was a talented artist. She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Her artistic talents can be seen in her bible as she would draw facial profiles of church members in the pages of it. Mary is survived by her son: Charley Logan of the home; daughter: Debbie Jones of the home; son: David Logan and wife, Diane of Oklahoma City; daughters: Patty Braley and husband, Richard of Clarksville, Arkansas, Dianne Ools and husband, K.O. Ools of Crowder. Also brothers: Don Brown of McAlester, Allen Brown and wife, Serena of Indianola, O’Dale Brown and wife, Margie of Shady Grove, Glenn Brown and wife, Margaret of Shady Grove; sisters: Glenda Upchurch of Tannehill, Carolyn Gilliespie and husband, David of McAlester; cousin: Helen Frye of Canadian Shores; sister-in-law: Leaetta; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Clara Brown, her husband: Leonard Logan who died on June 27, 2014; a son-in-law; and 5 siblings. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory in McAlester.
