1936 2019
Obituary of Marva Rose Gaylord (Engbaum) Marva Rose (Engbaum) Gaylord passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September, 12th at the age of 83. Marva is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert (Bob) Stephen Gaylord; three children, Karen Pirie, Kevin Gaylord, David Gaylord, and their families. Marva is also survived by her brother-in-law John Gaylord, two sister-in-laws Jody Gaylord, Clara Engbaum, and their families. Marva met her husband, Bob, at Tustin High School in Orange County, CA, and they married shortly after high school. Marva spent the last 50 years on Lake Tapps, WA. Marva was not only a wonderful and loving homemaker but also graduated college as an electrical draftsman and was one of the few early-stage CAD-CAM designers in the world. She helped design the Boeing 767 and 777 in-seat entertainment systems. Marva loved engaging in many creative activities such as playing the accordion, piano, toll painting, cross-stitching, cooking, scrap booking, and was recently learning to crochet. However, her main passion in life was her four grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren beyond measure. Marva was smart, artistic, had a great sense of humor, loved, and was much loved, by many. She will be greatly missed. Private graveside service at Sumner Cemetery. Public memorial service at Lake Tapps Community Church, 17017 Forest Canyon Rd. E, Lake Tapps, Sat., September 21st, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by Curnow Funeral Home (253) 200-9766.
