Marilyn Elaine Christensen, age 89, passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 21, 2019 in Red Lodge, Montana. Marilyn was born in North Platte, Nebraska on September 29, 1929 to Andie and Ival Toogood. She attended school in North Platte and went on to graduate from Denver Children’s Hospital Nursing School in 1950. Marilyn married Ramon Christensen on November 18, 1950. Through their union of marriage three sons were born, Eric, Bryce and Jodie. Marilyn lived in many places while continuing to be a nurse and help with the family business. After Ramon died, she always called Red Lodge her home even if she was living elsewhere. She enjoyed needle craft, family get-togethers, painting, puzzles and reading her bible. Marilyn (GG) is survived by sons, Eric (Sheila), Bryce (Christine), and Jodie (Judy); many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews all whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Ramon, brothers Charlie and Jerald and dear sister in law, Ginger Toogood. The family would like to thank the staff of Cedarwood Villa for the excellent care over the past year. The family also would like to thank the staff of Beartooth Billings Clinic and Beartooth Billings Clinic Hospice for their amazing care during her last days. A private family service is planned for a later date and she will be buried with Ramon in Tucson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you spread the kindness.
