Margie Nell LaFleur of Kinder, Louisiana July 23, 1927 – September 18, 2019 Kinder- Mrs. Margie Nell LaFleur 92, of Kinder died at 2:41 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2019 in a local care center. Mrs. La Fleur is survived by her three children, Daryl Durvin LaFleur, Jr. and wife, Donna, “Gene” LaFleur and wife, Virginia, and Janet L. Gothreaux and husband, Lynn; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Daryl D.LaFleur, Sr; her parents, Reme and Lily F. Rougeau; one sister, Greta R. Graham; and one brother, Willis Rougeau. Margie was a homemaker, substitute teacher, and was employed for years at Christian’s Store which later became Sullivan’s Western Wear. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Kinder (now Kinder Bible Church) for over 80 years. She was the first of the fifth generation in one family led to accept Jesus Christ as Savior by the late Rev. Paul Leeds, founder and longtime pastor of the local church. Funeral services for Margie will be held at the Kinder Bible Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 with the pastor, Rev. Don Barrett, officiating. Burial will follow in Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home. Visitation preceding the funeral will be at Kinder Bible Church from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 and continuing from 8 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
