Margarette Jane Starnes November 16, 1930 – September 05, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Margarette Jane Starnes, age 88, of Sandusky passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Sanilac County Medical Care Facility. Margarette was born November 16, 1930 in Pigeon to the late Harry and Ethel (Scott) Gibson. She graduated from Pigeon High School with the Class of 1948. Margarette married Donald Starnes on March 5, 1949 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2005. Margarette attended Sandusky Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing and loved to take care of other people. Margarette is survived by her son, William (Juli) Starnes; six grandchildren, Kim (Joe) Ellavich, Tom (Deann) Ferrella, Alesha Hibbs, Breanna Duncan, Cody and Amanda Starnes; two great-grandchildren, Devon Ferrella and Brandon Ellavich; one great-great-grandchild, Raelynn Baird; her daughter-in-law, Paula Starnes and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Ferrella; her son, Donald W. Starnes Jr.; her brother, Harry Gibson; and her sister, Ila Bouchard. Cremation services have been entrusted to Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
