Manuel’s Obituary CUMBERLAND FERRAO, Manuel L. 77, of Cumberland passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Isabel (Couto) Ferrao, and they had just celebrated their 50th anniversary. Born in Mangualde, Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio and Emilia (Lopes) Ferrao. He came to this country in 1966, settling in Cumberland. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland and a member of Clube Juventude Lusitania. He was a passionate and dedicated Benfica fan, enjoyed making wine, and gardening, but most of all he loved time spent with friends, family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Joseph M. Ferrao and his wife Donna of Ft. Myers, FL, Paul Ferrao and his wife Elizabeth of North Attleboro and Sandra Bordalo and her husband Leo of Smithfield; his siblings, Edith Rodrigues of Cumberland, Emilia Duarte of Cumberland and Alzira Moitoso of Central Falls; his five grandchildren, Hayden Ferrao, Mia Ferrao, Jacob Ferrao, Nikki Bordalo and Sabrina Bordalo; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Barros, Mabilia Duarte, Helena Duarte, and Joaquim DaCosta. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Manuel’s Life Celebration to be held Sunday, September 29, 2019 with Visiting Hours from 4 to 8 PM and continue on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Mt.
