Lois Marie Hansen Seltz was born on July 2, 1919 in Elkhorn, Nebraska to Henry and Jessie (Peetz) Hansen. She married Ray Seltz on June 10, 1944 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, and they enjoyed 58 years of wedded bliss. Lois and Ray were blessed with two children: Carol and Curtis and made their home on the family farm until 1960 when they moved into Elkhorn. They remained in Elkhorn until 1986 when they moved to Millard. Lois and Ray were avid Husker fans, attending games for over 40 years. They loved to travel, from short weekend trips to annual vacations to Estes Park, Colorado or the Black Hills of South Dakota. Lois enjoyed playing cards, sewing and going out for lunch with her friends. Lois passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Hickory Villa in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 100 years, 2 months and 25 days. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Jessie, husband Ray, brothers Harold and Melvin Hansen and sister Gladys Schmitt. Lois is survived by her daughter Carol Forrester of Omaha; son Curtis Seltz of Omaha; granddaughter Kim (Eric) Argo of Omaha; great grandchildren Amber, Morgan and Ryan Argo.
