Lena’s Obituary MARION, VA Lena R. Harris Parham, 82, of Marion, Virginia was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday September 10, 2019. Lena was born in Smyth County, VA on May 17, 1937 to the late William and Gordie Robinson. In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her husbands Orville Dallas Harris (died 1974) and Alan Parham (died 2010); 3 brothers, Robert, Jack and Donald Robinson; five sisters, Cora Myers, Hilda Lilly, Irene Goble, Juanita Edmonds and Geneva Robinson. Lena is survived by 3 sons and daughters in law, Stephen and wife Linda, of Philadelphia, PA; Cameron and wife Aretina of Fort Knox, Kentucky and Gregory and wife Amy of Marion, VA; three grandchildren Ryan Harris of Salem, VA; Jeremiah Harris and wife Heaven of Saltville, VA and Angus Harris of Marion, VA; one great grandson Steven Harris of Salem, VA and one great granddaughter Journee Scout Harris of Saltville; one sister Lovella Spencer of Lansing, NC and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Lena was a Prayer Warrior Extraordinaire. Anytime someone asked her for prayer she immediately stopped what she was doing to call on our Lord. She was a graduate of Montgomery County Community College where she graduated with an Associate Degree in Secretarial Studies. She retired from Walmart in Columbia, South Carolina where she made many friends. She retired to her home in Marion, VA to enjoy her beloved mountains and devote her time to her two furry children, Bluebelle and Puggle Bear. The family wishes to convey their thanks and gratitude to Wythe Hospice of Southwest Virginia. We are most especially grateful to the loving care given by hospice nurse/case manager Crystal Wynn. We would also like to extend our special thanks to Lisa Crigger, mom’s daily caregiver these past 5 months. And to all those whose prayers have been most appreciated. The family will receive friends on Friday September 13, 2019 from 5:00-7:00PM at Bradley’s Funeral Home Chapel in Marion. Private burial services will be held at Mt.
