Kenneth’s Obituary Kenneth Eugene Cook, Sr, age 92, passed away on September 9, 2019 in St George, Utah. He was born on October 12, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Hobart and Nellie Harmon Cook. He married Edna Lucille Wainscott on June 16, 1949 in Indianapolis, and they were parents to three children. Kenneth served in the United States Navy as a cook during WWII, and went on to work as a cook at the California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo for 30 years. He loved horses and participated in the Ride & Tide event. Kenneth was a member of Sonrise Christian Fellowship in Cedar City, Utah. He loved the Lord, loved his family, and was a person who never met a stranger. Kenneth is survived by his daughters LaDonna (Joseph) King of Kanarraville, UT and Karen Rodriguez of Round Rock, TX; his 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lucille Wainscott Cook; his son, Kenneth Cook, Jr; his brothers, Harold and Darold Cook, his son-in-law, Joseph Rodriguez, and grandson, Stephen Forrester. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at Sonrise Christian Church (6843 W 1800 N, Cedar City, UT), with a viewing from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the services. Interment will be in Arroyo Grande Cemetery, California on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11:00 am, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Read More
