On Thursday September 26, 2019 Karen Potter Auld, 54, lost her battle to cancer. Karen was born August 6, 1965 in Bridgeport, CT to Robert and Diana Potter. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1983. On October 24, 1987 she married her husband, Gene, of over 30 years where together they raised three children, Morgan, Nolan, and Peyton Auld. Karen was a long time employee with Rush’s, avid trivia player and diehard Gamecock fan. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Robert Potter, her mother, Diana Potter, and brother, Danny Potter. She is survived by her loving husband, Gene, her three children Morgan, Nolan, and Peyton, as well as eleven brothers and sisters. Services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Columbia, SC. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. with mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. Graveside service will take place at Southland Memorial Gardens, details to be announced. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers the family has asked to make a donation to Special Olympics of South Carolina Area 7.
