Julie’s Obituary Julie A. Butler Berthold Julie A. Berthold, age 88, passed away on Sunday September 1, 2019 in Shawano. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin on February 15, 1931, the daughter of the late John H. and Magdeline F. (Kelliher) Butler. Julie attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and Edgewood High School. She was united in marriage to Ernest F. Berthold in St. Patrick’s Church, in Madison, on November 15, 1952. The couple were blessed with two children, Mary and Thomas. Julie was a licensed insurance agent, and was employed at Bob Boylan Insurance Agency before moving to Milwaukee, where she was employed by Crum and Forester Insurance Company as an operation’s specialist. She retired from Crum and Forester in 1995, and moved to Shawano, Wisconsin later that year. Julie is survived by: her husband, Ernest; daughter, Mary (Robert) Berthold-Johnson of St. Croix Falls, WI; son, Tom (Stephanie) Berthold of Cecil; granddaughter, Angela J. Berthold; four step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. Julie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Magdeline and her brother, Jerry and her sister, Sister Jeannine Butler O.P. Julies wish were to not have a wake, showing, or formal services. Burial will be privately held at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison, WI. Is anybody happier because you passed his way? Does anybody remember that you spoke to him today? Did you leave a trail of kindness, or a scar of discontent?
