M. with the visitation beginning at 8:00 A. M. at Second Baptist Church in Eunice, LA. Burial will be in L’Anse Meg (Reed) Cemetery in Mamou, LA. Rev. Wesley Givs will officiate the funeral ceremony. On Thursday, September 5, 2019, time drew back the curtain and brought to a close, the end of day, for our beloved Joseph. Filled with empty wells of loneliness will be his devoted wife: Wilda Cullivan Orebeaux of Eunice, LA; three sons: Christopher Orebeaux of Birmingham, AL, Rogers Orebeaux of Dickinson, TX and Joseph Orebeaux, Jr. of Lafayette, LA; three sisters: Mary A. Captain of Chataignier, LA and Rose Larnette and Evella St. Andre both of Eunice, LA; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rogers and Darvina Orebeaux; one daughter: Romona Orebeaux; and three brothers: Robert, Jerry and Jimmy Orebeaux. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
