John L. Naval, 99, of Woodward Avenue, Lock Haven passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Haven Skilled Rehabilitation and Nursing. He was born in Avis, PA January 28, 1920 to Frank and Mary Ramm Naval. John was a 1938 graduate of the Lock Haven High School. Shortly after graduation he worked as a Surveyor. John was a mail carrier in Lock Haven for a number of years and retired from the Lock Haven Post Office is 1980. John was united in marriage to the late Jane Ohl Naval on September 18, 1942. She preceded him in death in July 18, 2016. John was a life long member of the Liberty United Methodist Church, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include a brother, Frederick Naval, New Holland, PA, two nieces and one nephew. Also surviving are Dave and Sharon Masters, Kristie Bryerton and Steven Masters. In addition to his wife, John was preceded in death by his brother, Donald. In keeping with John’s wishes, private memorial services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in John’s name to the Liberty United Methodist Church, 637 Island Route, Lock Haven, PA 17745 or the Ross Library, 232 W. Main St., Lock Haven, PA 17745 Services are under the direction of the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven.
