Joan Offield, a 90 year old former Trenton, MO resident, passed away at 12:27 a.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Excelsior Nursing and Rehab in Excelsior Springs, MO. Graveside services are at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton. Memorial donations may be made to the College of the Ozarks and left with or mailed to Slater Neal Funeral Home in Trenton. Joan Offield was born January 6, 1929 in Trenton to Wilbur and Beulah (Stottlemyre) Chandler. She graduated from Trenton High School and attended Trenton Junior College. On April 2, 1961 she was united in marriage to Stephen Offield at the First Assembly of God church in Trenton. For 41 years Joan worked as a telephone operator. She enjoyed spending time with her church family. Surviving relatives include her husband Stephen Offield of Excelsior Springs, son Stan Offield of Kansas City, MO, a sister Donna Chandler of Independence, MO, and grandchildren Daniel Offield and wife Allison, Steven Offield and girlfriend Haley, and Matthew Offield all of Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Joyce Copple.
