Obituary of Jean E. Kerr Jean Kerr of Putnam, CT passed away Friday, September 13, 2019, at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. She was born December 20, 1925 in Aurora, Illinois, daughter of the late William Dodge and Henrietta (Bush) Macdonald. Jean was predeceased by her husband Paul B. Kerr and son Robert E Ross. Jean loved her home and enjoyed her time in it. She also loved spending her time with her husband Paul either at home or on a cruise which they took twice a year. Jean was an Executive Secretary for over 30 years for Hale Manufacturing Co. and later was the office manager for Dr. Mahendran. She leaves behind her sons William H Ross (Rose) and David A. Ross as well as step children Karleen Gedney (Charles) and Robert Kerr (Linda), Grandmother to SaraBeth Ross of Seattle, WA, Jeannette Ross of Sabattus, ME, Katielyn (Randy) Ross of Portland, OR, Elizabeth Ross of Southington, CT, Step grandmother to Kimberly Gedney, Kellie (Steve) Panteleakos, Paul (Holly) Gedney of Moosup, CT and Robert (MaryBeth) Kerr, Jr. of Pomfret, CT. From Jean’s Family a Special “Thank You” to the Staff at Matulaitis Nursing Home. A graveside service will be Friday, September 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Maplewood Cemetery, 184 Salem Turnpike, Norwich, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Day Kimball Hospital Cardiac Rehab, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260.
