Janis Ann Mitchell, 70, of Paragould, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. She was born September 15, 1949, to Carl and Vennie Huffstutler. Janis was a Christian woman that attended Unity Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Above all, Janis loved her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kristy Hall; and siblings, Euba, Dewayne, Jerry, Joyce, Denny, and Paul. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Lenny Mitchell; son and daughter in law, Keith and Teresa Hall; daughters and son in law, Kerri Ivie, Kelli and Travis Venable; sister, Gloria Riney; and grandchildren, Kerry Wooldridge, Brian Wooldridge, Lacey Ivie, Kendra McKay, Jonathon Ivie, Taylor Quinn, Kyra Quinn, and Andrew Venable. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 20, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Chad Robinson officiating. Kerry Wooldridge, Brian Wooldridge, Jonathon Ivie, Taylor Quinn, Andrew Venable, and Tucker McKay will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Tommy Mitchell, Collin Wooldridge and Ronnie Peterson.
