Janette Winsor (Bristow) Ashley, age 84, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She was born in Bladen County on August 5, 1935 to the late Bascum Mack Bristow and Ruth Swain McRae. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Dee Ashley and brother, John Harold Tyson. Janette worked for many years as a private duty nurse. She is survived by her sons, Ricky Dale Ashley and wife, Vanessa of Sanford, Kenneth Lynn Ashley and wife, Jeaneane of Sanford and Mitchell Dean Ashley and wife, Allie of Sanford; two brothers, Larry Bristow and wife, Betty of Siler City and Tommy Tyson and wife, Jackie of High Falls; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at 1Hope Assembly of God with the funeral service following at 3:00 PM with Pastor Greg Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memory Gardens.
