Janet’s Obituary Janet Louise Sykes, 76 of Scott City, Missouri died Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born March 26, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Marvin Leon and Rachel Agnes Parker Hasty. She was a child care provider for Kids & Company in Scott City and she was a member of Father’s Arms Fellowship in Scott City. She is survived by three sons, Aaron Sykes of Park Hills, Missouri, Darren Sykes and Skylar Sykes of Scott City; a daughter, Tina King of Scott City; a sister, Lois Stephens of Scott City; eight grandchildren, Tiffany McKinney, Haley Chiles, Brianna Sykes, Caleb Sykes, Olivia Sykes, Amanda Lawrence, Stephen Reed and Savanna Sykes and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Visitation will be from 11:00 am on Wednesday until the time of service at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at the chapel with Rev. Kenny Strong officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City. Read More
