Jana’s Obituary Jana L. Swaffar, 57, of Wentworth, MO, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday morning, September 25, 2019 following a courageous battle with cancer. Jana was born on March 24, 1962 in Monett, MO, daughter of the late Clifford Preston Moore and Karen Jane (Smith) Moore. She graduated from Monett High School with the Class of 1980. For several years, Jana worked as Office Manager for George’s in Butterfield, MO. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and watching her hummingbirds. Jana was a member of the Monett Church of Christ. On August 1, 1980 in Purdy, MO, Jana Moore and Lonnie Swaffar were united in marriage. To this union, they were blessed with two children. Jana is survived by her husband, Lonnie, of the home; her son Tyler Swaffar and his wife Rosie, of Joplin, MO; her daughter, Toni Johnson and her husband Aaron, of Marionville, MO; four grandchildren, Jaelyn, Jeran and Breckyn Swaffar and Addybelle Johnson; two brothers, Mike Moore and wife Kathy, of Republic, MO and Tim Moore and wife Carmen, of Portland, OR; and a host of extended family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Arnhart Cemetery, East Purdy, MO. Deny Lemaster, Minister, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home in care of the funeral home.
