Jim Hill, age 76, peacefully passed from his life on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at his home in Alvarado, Texas. Jim was born on June 5, 1943 in Madison, Wisconsin but had lived in Texas most of his life. Jim graduated from Garfield High School in 1961 and received an Associate’s degree from Eastfield Collage. Jim enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country in the Vietnam War. He spent the years from 1980 to 1989 working with children and youth at Buckner Baptist Children’s Home. He worked for the city of Fort Worth until his retirement in 2008. Jim was married to his wife for 51 years on September 7, 2019.Jim will be greatly missed by his family or friends. Jim is survived by his wife Barbara Hill and his daughter Deborah Hill. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Margaret P. Hill , James Hill and his brother Micheal Hill. Pallbearers are Don Kelly, Steve Williams, Charles Russell, Eric Talbot, Duane Patrick, and Matthew Lawson. Visitation will be at the Midlothian Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 11:30 am at Midlothian Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with Military honers will be on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas, Texas.
