James’ Obituary Kinder-Funeral Services for James “Jamie” F. Corkern, 47, will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Don Barrett of Kinder Bible Church will officiate. The family has arranged for cremation immediately following the services. A private burial will be held at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes. The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home beginning Friday, September 27, 2019 from 8 a.m. until time of service. James was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to all. He did it his way. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, disassembling things, riding motorcycles, cooking, helping people, and building things. He had an avid love for animals. James always protected those he loved. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish James’ memory include his father, James Corkern and wife, Michelle, of Oberlin; Fiancée, Lois Lee; one son, Erastus Eran Corkern; five sisters, Dr. Sonya Louviere and husband, Mark, of Lafayette, Christy Kent and husband, Troy, of Utah, Raven Bailey and husband, Billy, of Kinder, Tasha Lovejoy of Ragley and Ashly Setliff and husband, Benjamin, of Dequincy; as well as, a host of nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by his mother, Linda F. Ingles; and one sister, Shannon LeBlanc. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Read More
