Ida Mae “Billings” Gard, I was born August 30th, 1930 in East Lynn, MO. And have spent most of my life in this area. When I was twelve years old, I accepted Christ as my Savior and was baptized in a pond South of Kingsville. My entire life I have been surrounded by the most wonderful people God ever put on this Earth. From my beginning, a loving Dad and Mother, Jim and Glady (Buckley) Billings. Friends from my early school years at La Tour, MO. and later ones from Kingsville High, where I met the love of my life, Bob Gard and married in 1947, spending 62 years together before God called him home in 2009. Wonderful neighbors, my Basin Knob Club friends and my loving family at Elm Spring Baptist Church. God blessed me with a loving family of 9 children of which three, Susie, Joe and Jack along with my husband Bob, Dad, Mother, sister Elizabeth Lindsey and brother Don Billings and wife Kay await me in Heaven. Surviving are five wonderful sons and daughters – in- laws, Bobby and Sandy Gard, Mike and Martha Gard, Sam and Reylene Gard, Pat and Cindy Gard, Guy and Michelle Gard, a precious daughter Cindy and my favorite son- in- law, Greg Narron, all of Kingsville. Ida also had 15 Grandchildren, 25 Great- Grandchildren and 1 Great- Great – Grandchild. A special Niece, Lynda Sanders and her late husband Bruce of Bates City, many other nieces and nephews and in- laws Jack and Grace Gard of Kingsville. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12th, 2019 from 6-8 PM. at the Elm Spring Baptist Church Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 13th, 2019 at 10:00 AM. At the Elm Spring Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Wakeman officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Elm Spring Baptist Church or the Holden Sports Association.
