Mrs. Hilda Marie Ingram Messer, 77, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019, in Gold Hill. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Billy Sechrist will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Thursday at Lady’s Funeral Home. Mrs. Messer was born August 16, 1942 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Harry Wiley Ingram and Pauline Elizabeth Chamberlain Ingram. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and going to yard sales. Mrs. Messer retired from the former CHS-NorthEast as a Registered Nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Bobby Eugene Messer; and two brothers, Fred. A. Ingram and Harry L. Ingram, Sr. Mrs. Messer is survived by two sons, Michael B. Beaver and wife Pamela of Gold Hill and Randy Yates and wife Jamie of Statesville; daughter, Michelle Miller and husband David of Salisbury; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and her canine companion, Victoria.
