Hershel J.R. Laster, 86, of Dryden, formerly of Norfolk, VA, died Thursday September 26, 2019. He was born on April 27, 1933 to Edgar and Roseanna (Seibel) Laster. Hershel enlisted in the army after high school and proudly served his country during the Korean War. After the service, Hershel went to school to become an architect. He was an architect for over 30 years, in 18 different states. He used his skills mainly to help build churches. Mr. Laster is survived by his two children: John (Lisa) Laster of Dryden and Elayne Chambers of Troy; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sister Joyce Louis of Englewood, OH. He was preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Laster as well as his parents. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home.
