Heather’s Obituary Obituary Heather Olsen, 39 Heather Olsen, 39, was born May 28, 1980 to David Olsen and Kristine Talbot Olsen in Blackfoot, Idaho. She was a beautiful baby with the longest eyelashes and biggest blue eyes you’d ever see. She grew up in the Moreland area and had a happy childhood with her three brothers, three sisters and many beloved cousins. Heather attended school in the Snake River school district. She participated in many activities including drill team, snow skiing and softball. After getting her first job and working hard she was able to visit many countries in Europe with a school group and loved having that opportunity. Not long after graduating, she married Judd Erickson, with whom she had three beautiful children; Ethan, Emma and Zoey. She loved her kids more than anything! She and Judd later divorced. Heather was so caring and compassionate and always wanted to help people. She became a nurse and was beloved by her patients and co-workers alike. She was nicknamed “Painless” by her co-workers for her mad skills at IV placement and she was very proud of that. Heather was very talented and generous. She made many beautiful things for friends and family over the years. Her handmade crocheted items, paintings, jewelry and beaded spiders will be treasured by the lucky recipients for years. Heather was so much fun to be around. She had a wicked sense of humor and hilarious, fantastic personality. She was a great cook. She loved music and concerts. She loved to travel and had a particular love of Catalina Island. Halloween was her favorite holiday and her costumes each year were unbelievable! She loved all things skulls and creepy, crawly even having tarantulas, snakes and lizards as pets. She was proud to have taught her children to not be scared of these things. Unfortunately, anxiety and depression are not respecters of such things. Heather was an advocate of mental health awareness and always wanted to bring attention to the issue and end the stigma. Heather is preceded in death by her parents; David Lamar Olsen and Kristine Talbot Olsen, and her paternal grandparents; Lamar Olsen and Lois Christiansen Olsen. Heather is survived by her children; Ethan, Emma and Zoey Erickson, her siblings; Tamra (Christian) Roberts, Shawn (Adelina) Olsen, Trevor (Krista) Olsen, Hayley Olsen, Shayna Olsen, Tristan (Jessica) Olsen, Stepmother; Karen (David) Olsen, her maternal grandparents; Hyrum Eugene Talbot and Joyce Chatterton Talbot and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who all love her dearly. Please be kind and be a good friend. Be a listening ear and have a caring heart. Make sure the people in your life know how much you love them. Our hearts are broken at the loss, be at peace and fly high with the angels. Until we meet again, we love you Heather, so much! A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 27, 2019 at the Moreland Cemetery.
