Harold Theodore Tilden II was called home on June 18, 2019 after a brief fight with cancer. He was born to Harold and Ruth Tilden in Newberg, OR in 1955. Graduating from Newberg High School, he went on to Seattle Pacific University, and then the University of Oregon for his Master’s. After graduation, he moved to Saint Louis where he met and married his sweetheart Pam, whom he shared life with for 36 years until his passing. His children and grandchild were the joys of his life, and he was passionate about them. Prior to his retirement, he spent his years working as an environmental scientist who dealt with the cleanup and safe disposal of hazardous and radioactive materials. Harold was a devoted Christian, and loved the Lord. Among his passions, he was a talented musician and was often using his talent leading worship in church either vocally or with any of the instruments he played. For several years he also was the bass in a Gospel quartet that toured the Pacific Northwest called Crosspoint Vocal Band. He was also a philatelist, collecting stamps from several countries. When traveling, or just at home, he was also fond of trying many types of food. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Ruth Tilden, and his brother David Tilden. He is survived by his wife Pamela, his daughters Paige (Lindsey) Tilden and Jeana Tilden, his granddaughter Rachel Tilden, and his brother Leslie (Juanita) Tilden. Through this site, we invite you to share your thoughts and fond memories with his family.
