Harold Max Mowery, 89, of Bloomfield passed away Thursday September 19, 2019 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. Born on August 5, 1930 in Greene County, Indiana, he was the son of John C. and Emma (Booker) Mowery. Harold Max graduated from Scotland High School in 1949, he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he worked in the trucking industry from 1954 to 2005, retiring in 2005 from Mowery Trucking Agency. Surviving relatives include his wife Lola Mowery, his children, Steven (Melissa) Mowery, Cathy (Mike) Minks and Doug (Nancy) Mowery, siblings, Carl Junior (Patty) Mowery, Don (Jeanine) Mowery, Rita (Chuck) DeLong, half-brother Darrell Mowery, step-sister, Sue Flory, his grandchildren, Ami Vachon, Josh Minks, Meagan Hostetter, Steven Mowery, Mindy Hopkins, great-grandchildren, Clayton Vachon, Grace and Paige Hostetter, Jaxson Hopkins, Eva Mowery, Stepchildren, David (Tracy) Chesnut, Carolyn (D.J.) Spencer, Marilyn (Steve) Roberts, John Chesnut, Teresa Chesnut, Brian (Darla) Chesnut and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and 9:30 until the hour of service at the Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:30 Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Marcus Schrader and Rev. Hana Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
