Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Harold Leon Lord, age 83 of Maysville, Georgia who entered into rest Thursday, September 5, 2019. Mr. Lord was born in Jefferson, Georgia a son of the late Price and Annie Lou Stockton Lord and was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lord is preceded by two wives, Doris Eloise Lord and Ruby Martin Lord and two sons, Mark Anthony Lord and Dwight Franklin Lord. Survivors include two daughters, Laurie Bond of Maysville, and Regina Love of Pendergrass. Sister, Charlotte Lord of Jefferson, brothers; James T. Lord of Gainesville, Don Lord of Commerce, Jim Lord of Athens, and Jerry Lord of Holly Springs. Eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive. Funeral services were held 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 6, 2019 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Mr. Don Lord officiating with burial in the Dry Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. prior to the service.
