Gloria’s Obituary Gloria L. Nolan passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019. She was 96. Gloria was predeceased in 2011 by her husband of 67 years, Jim. Born in Peace Dale, RI, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Vitale) Dinonise. Gloria was one of the youngest of eight children. She met Jim in elementary school, and they were married in 1945 when he was on leave during WWII. Gloria attended Mount St. Vincent College in NY and worked as an elementary school teacher in RI. In 1967, Jim was offered a job at Mare Island Naval Shipyard and the family moved west. In 1991 her and Jim returned to Rhode Island from California. Gloria is survived by her four children: Mary Jo of IN, James of Louisiana, Margaret of California, and Beth of Massachusetts as well as over fifty grand and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield at 9 am, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, South Kingstown. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Read More
