Gloria’s Obituary Gloria Jenkins Johnson, 63, a resident of Delano, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of The Warehouse Church in Etowah. Gloria’s proudest accomplishments were spending such quality time with each of her kids and grand-kids, whom she loved and adored with her whole heart. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at St. George Island in Florida. Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, H.B. and Genora Patterson Jenkins; her siblings, Glen Jenkins, Betty Jo Ledford and Larry Jenkins. Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Bobby Johnson; her beloved children, Robbie (Stacy) Combs, Allen Johnson and Coby (Shelby) Johnson; her grandchildren, Kasey (Dakota) Thompson, Ally Combs and Waylon Johnson; her siblings, Bobby (Sula) Jenkins and Vickie (Lynn) Bryan; her sister-in-law, Darla Jenkins. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A private Celebration of Life service will be conducted at Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Stan Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Delano Cemetery with Robbie Combs, Allen Johnson, Coby Johnson, Dakota Thompson, D.J. Underwood and Tanner Plemons serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place – Memphis, TN 38105.
