George’s Obituary George W. Kahmer, Jr., age 87, of Pennsauken, NJ passed away peacefully on August 15, 2019. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he graduated from Lansdowne High School. George worked for the railroad for 43 years before retiring. He was also a musician playing bass in several local bands. He belonged to the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic of Southern NJ and the Rose Valley Chorus Orchestra. George assisted with the Wagon Train 1976 in Valley Forge, PA, enjoyed model railroading and was a docent at The Griffith-Morgan House in Pennsauken. He was also a US Army Korean War veteran. George is survived by his wife Faye (nee Burlingame) who he met at an orchestra rehearsal and married in 1978; two daughters Barbara (John) Ganjamie and Carol (Ed) Skinner; two grandchildren Christine (Todd) Benoff and Scott (Leona) Watson; three great grandchildren Ryan and Sean Benoff and Audrina Watson; two step-brothers Robert and James Breslin and a half-sister Carol Ansley. Relatives and friends are invited to attend George’s Memorial Service on Saturday September 7, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Martin Luther Chapel 4100 Terrace Avenue Pennsauken, NJ. Read More
