Fay Evelyn Curl Elder December 24, 1921 – September 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Fay Evelyn Curl Elder, age 97, of Concordia, KY, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at All About Home Assisted Living in Brandenburg, KY. Fay was born December 24, 1921 in Concordia, KY to the late Joseph Edward and Edna Mae Curl. Her husband of 57 years, Floyd Elder; sister, Opal “Buster” Breckinridge; and brothers, Adron and Louis Curl also preceded her in death. Fay retired as a US Postmaster from the US Postal Service. She was a devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and mother. Fay enjoyed quilting, sewing, cross stitching, gardening, seek and find puzzles, and a good game of Shanghai Rummy. She absolutely loved her cat, Sally, and was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Church in Rhodelia. She is survived by her two daughters: Mary Frances (Donald) Shaw of Concordia, KY and Martha Ann Haynes of Brandenburg; two granddaughters: Marti (Joe) Perronie of Greenville, IN and Robin Sipes of Concordia, KY; two great-granddaughters: Elissa Youart and Elizabeth Youart; and three great-grandsons: Evan Youart, Ethan Youart, and Josh Perronie. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM EDT at St. Theresa of Avila Church in Rhodelia, KY with burial to follow in St. Theresa Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM EDT and Thursday, September 12 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM EDT at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
