He was an Electrician for Olin Brass. He was a WWII Army 1st Cavalry Veteran. The Team at Avon Chick-fil-A was a bright spot in Ernie’s day. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Leslie; parents, Herman and Mary Pleasant Leslie; brother, Ed. He is survived by his longtime friend, Millie Stumpf; daughter, Cathy Phillips; son, Herk Leslie; daughter-in-law, Nicole Leslie; sister-in-law, Virginia Leslie; grandchildren, Mike (Maureen) Leslie and Zach (Jami) Leslie; great grandchildren, Ryan and Ethan Leslie.
