Eric Bruce “Bo” Bowman, age 50, died Friday, August 30, 2019, at St. Joseph Hospital. Eric was born June 12, 1969, to Beth Ann Stiles and Robert Bruce Bowman in Barberton, Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, and then his Master of Arts degree in history. Eric lived in Atlanta, Georgia, until 2008 before moving to Arden, North Carolina. He enjoyed playing World of Warcraft, building computers, spending time with his sons, family and friends. Eric worked as an oracle database administrator for Ingles grocery. Eric was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his spouse of twenty-three years, Janice Bowman; his sons, David Bennet Bowman, Nicholas Barrett Bowman and Matthew Albert Bowman of Arden, NC; his sister, Carrie Bowman of Atlanta, Georgia; his uncle, Ed Bowman of Atlanta, Georgia; and his cousins. Eric’s family will hold a private service for him at a later date. They request, in lieu of flowers, any donations in Eric’s name be made to the American Heart Association or Asheville Humane Society.
