Mr. Emer Hatch, age 79 of Franklin, KY entered into rest Friday, September 6, 2019 at 7:05 PM at his residence. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Franklin First Baptist Church, 303 E. Cedar St. Franklin, KY 42134. Military honors will be given by the Simpson County Honor Guard. Emer was born October 25, 1939 in Cortez, CO to the late True Bradford Hatch and the late Kathryn Conwell Hatch Perkins. He was preceded in death by two brothers Douglas Perkins and Bradford Hatch, and a sister Bettie Hatch Evenson. He is survived by his wife Janet Hatch, daughter Elizabeth Hatch Reichert (Wayne) of Portland, TN and son Alan Hatch (Carolyn) of Hendersonville, TN, five grandchildren Michael Paxton, Amanda Paxton, Jennifer Pearson, Kelly Hatch and Joshua Hatch, and seven great-grandchildren Randy “Trace” Teague, Gage Pearson, Killion Paxton, Nolan Pearson, Bradlee Leyva, Cash Paxton and Bryar Pearson, two sisters Kathryn Hatch Hargrove of Cortez, CO and Iva Hatch Black of Gillette, WY and numerous nieces and nephews. Emer was retired from the oil and gas exploration industry and was a Navy Veteran. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Franklin First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
