Elisha Thomas Wilborn, of Covington, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 at the age of 89. He was born on December 16, 1929, in Thomaston, GA. Mr. Wilborn proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father, “ET”, brother, uncle and friend to many. Mr. Wilborn liked to ride and talk, travelling, and enjoyed preaching. He attended Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Milstead and Faith Tabernacle. Preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Ella Mae Wilborn; his parents, Granvul and Naomi Wilborn; and sisters, Dorothy Mize, Annette Boone. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Wilborn of Covington; children and their spouses, Gerald and Ava Wilborn of Watkinsville, Richard and Judy Wilborn of Chatsworth, Farris and Peggy Moon of McDonough, Elaine and John Moore of McDonough; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Bro. Larry Phillips, Bro. Vandy Pope and Bro. Tim Phillips officiating. Interment will follow after the service at Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Hopewell Church Road, Covington, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.
